MTV’s 40th Anniversary

To commemorate MTV’s 40th anniversary, NTWRK tapped celebrity jeweler Ben Baller to pay homage to the cultural behemoth by designing custom pendants of the iconic MTV logo on a gold rope chain. The chains were debuted by Fat Joe at the 2021 VMA’s and then featured in two giveaways on the NTWRK app.
My role as the lead strategist was to find an interesting way to honor the legacy of the enduring media brand while introducing it to the upcoming generation. By pairing a cultural icon like Ben Baller with the infamous visual that is the MTV logo, we were able to create a new-to-world product that was both exciting & accessible to younger consumers.
